Well today we did or tried to do family pictures. We had a few with kids crying, snotty noses, people frustrated, the heat, thirsty, me gimping around, climbing rocks etc. but I think we made it through it. We not only had our family in the pictures but our adopted son Dustin in a couple also. At first we were going to have Dustin stand in for my son Parker (who's on a LDS mission in San Jose CA) and take a picture of Parker and put it over Dustin's face but then we decided not to and just had Dustin join us as part of the family.Since my son Elder Parker Featherstone wasn't able to be there, we held a (build a bear) missionary bear that Parker had sent to his niece Peyton for Christmas. This time we took pictures at a friends home down a private road with lots of places to take pictures. It's a gorgeous home and I am so grateful they let us take pictures there! Thanks Kristen & Aaron, & your parents! We did end up having fun, even if it wasn't like going to Disneyland. I'm excited to see how the pictures turn out.
As we were just finishing up the photo shoot Austin had been sitting on a 5' ledge and leaned his hand on the corner for leverage to get down and the corner broke and down he went. I thought for sure Austin had hit his head but he said he didn't. He did land on his wrist, poor thing was crying due to the pain. It immediately had a big bump and looked weird so we thought it might be broken. So we got him some ice and took him to InstaCare. After the Dr. looked at it and took xrays he said it wasn't broken just sprained. He gave him a brace and said if it was still hurting in a week then to follow up with an orthopedic doctor.
It's always a new adventure just around the corner.
