I had my 6 week post op apt with the OB Oncologist (the one
who did my last surgery on the staging
of my cancer). He said everything looked
good he would just follow me for a while. So I go back in four months, 6 weeks
after I’m done with the chemo. I had some rectal bleeding that I mentioned to
him. It comes and goes. He said you could have internal hemorrhoids, so he thinks
that is what it might be. He wants me to have a colonoscopy done sooner than
later though. So we’re trying to get that arranged.
Because I was so sick last
week (a (2) medicine week) I didn’t take my Pharmacology test until Monday, well
actually Tuesday. After chemo on Monday I went to take it but they wanted me to
have enough time so I had to come back on Tuesday. Then Wednesday I went back
and took my Pharmacology Math test (I got a 92 so I don’t have to take it again,
yeah!). By this time I was exhausted! Partly my own fault because I stayed up
late studying and then the chemo makes me really tired. Later that night a good
friend from highschool texted me and wanted to stop by so she did. Joylynn
Clark and I sat and talked for a while catching up. It was so nice!
I made some phone calls and took a nap. Courtney came by with the girls and we
visited while Chris was at the Stake court of honor up at Snyder Mill.
I heard from the genetics counselor and my cancer is not from
being genetic woo-hooo!They don’t know why. But that means my family posterity won’t get it from me. I
do have one mutant gene for colon cancer but you have to have two mutant genes;
one from each parent so there’s no way genetically I can get colon cancer. The
only way my kids can get colon cancer genetically is, if Dad carry’s a mutant colon cancer gene as well.
That is if they did get one from me.
