Dr. Claire Hoverman met with me and discussed my
options. I was already on progesterone to help with the bleeding so we opted to
have the hysteroscopy done. After the hysteroscopy Dr. Hoverman said she
removed 5 polyps. It didn’t help the bleeding right at first then it stopped it
except for some occasional spotting. I asked her what it meant if I felt like I
wasn’t emptying my bladder all the way, she said it was stress incontinence,
where when you sneeze you might have a little pee come out. She said it was
fairly common in women, who have given birth because it weakens the sphincter
muscles, which hold the pee in. So we talked some more and decided that I
needed a hysterectomy but I couldn’t get it done until after I was done with
finals around the middle of May. We also decided that she would do the
trans-vaginal sling at the same time.
